Full of empowering ideas, inclusion of religion, myth, philosophy and steps to internal and external growth. Shakti Leadership: Embracing the Feminine and Masculine Power, in its essence is about efficient leadership skills which include the feminine and masculine archetypes as its tools. The confluence of both is required for the development of a balanced leader.

The book begins with the descriptions of the authors and accolades by claimed entrepreneurs. It’s easy to read and understand. Divided in eight parts which explain the need to seek that strong inner strength and wisdom called Shakti, leading with it, the importance of now, the process of journaling one’s own heroic journey and empowering of women by demolishing stereotypes.

The traditional “manly disposition” required for being successful in a business venture or any professional task has been questioned through its results like war, aggression, social breakdown and corruption. The unilateral approach has been disastrous, but that’s being transformed now, with the awareness about Shakti.

The authors have used numerous books, videos and interviews with successful entrepreneurs who have inculcated the feminine aspect in the professional realm. Sally kempton, Casey Sheahen, John Mackey, John Gray, Clarissa Pinkola Estes have been part of the enlightening process and have been used as references and torch bearers for Shakti Leadership.

An interesting read, full of power and edifying in an interesting way.
