This spectacularly written work of the Brazilian writer, Paulo Coelho, features a young boy named Santiago who is a shepherd in a small village. He dreams about finding the Egyptian treasure in the desert which would make him immensely rich. And so, he sets off! Just about like that! Leaving behind his village and his job to follow his dream which he quite enthusiastically believed in! He is challenged every time he tries to take a step forward. He is challenged constantly by threats and obstructions that try to derail him and often succeeds to do so. But Santiago knows, when someone wants something from the bottom of his heart, the entire universe conspires to aid him. Eventually the lad finds it less cumbersome and more accommodating to fight against the barriers with determination, confidence, and a little help from a guide he found in 'The Alchemist', but that's not all!

If you're a reader of positive mind-engaging stories, this book should probably be your gear. The 150-page novel is a brilliant optimistic compilation written in very simple terms that directly meet the attention of even the most novice reader, reaching with every lap and every page the most important lessons of life, the meaning of struggle, determination and conflict, the omens of the universe and what we learn from them, and about the ability to never give up. A life changing subject portrayed, in one word, brilliantly!  Highly recommend reading this compilation at least once in your lifetime! Recommended for the followers of every genre.
