“Three thousand stitches” - is one of the finest books written by Sudha Murthy. It is a non-fiction book divided into 11 chapters, containing short stories based on the personal experiences of the author. The stories are from experiences at different stages of her life as a child, as a student and later as the founder of her ngo Infosys Foundation. The stories give a glimpse of her family background and friend circle, at times showcasing the rich cultural aspect and at times motivating readers to take new challenges in life.

The book is beautifully structured with graceful writing . The language is simple which makes the book easy to understand. It seems like you are having a conversation with someone. The stories are motivating and it encourages the readers to work hard and overcome every obstacle. It teaches you to focus on the larger goals of life rather than reacting to small issues that are coming in your way. The author chooses to end the book with a powerful quote - “We all lose a few battles in our lives, but we can win the war.” This one sentence highlights the impact this book is going to make on its readers.
If you are someone who likes reading non-fiction books, it is definitely going to be a good choice. And I also recommend it to the new readers.
