The book revolves around Abir Maqsood, a feisty, strong headed, seventeen-year-old. Abir has a plan for everything, including a five, ten- and fifteen-years plan for her life. She lives in a humble dwelling with an overworked mother, a lovely younger sister and her Abbu and Nani(maternal aunt). She wants different things from life, she wants a career for herself and to be independent. Her family, on the other hand have other plans, like getting her married. And that's the reason that our feisty little Abir is angry, always.

She hates the rich snobs, the cute, lean and swanky Arsalan included. But little does she know that one idea, one day is going to change everything!

I loved this book. It's a fast-paced short read. I loved how the author portrayed the characters, how they all seem to come alive in this one. I loved Abir's best friend Keerthi, her bond with her mother. And the character arc that all her characters undergo!

Also I have always loved henna (mehndi) but after this book, I have a completely new perspective!
This is such a good read, if you wish to read something light and sweet!!
