Ms Militancy is a collection of revolutionary poems with a martial spirit; Meena Kandasamy through her black humour and dauntless verses fights against the deep rooted hierarchies, in the present time particularly targetting Dalit oppression.

She uses subversion as a tool of reclamation, of power which had been usurped by casteists over the years.

The poems present an expression of fierce love for the dispossessed and marginalized. The author expresses rage through her feminist rhetoric making the reader feel each word burning their presumptions about societal structures in general.

The book throws light upon how society is in the habit of putting labels and passing judgements on human beings who are unfathomable to them.

This 64-paged rebellious treasure-of-a-book makes the reader's think and question their daily choices reminding them to de-hegemonise the authority vested in bigots and work towards a non-judgemental egalitarian socio-cultural world.
