Breathless pacing and a cascade of plot twists that keep you guessing until the very end are hallmarks of her book. Yet it's Bel's feelings-distrust, confusion, longing-that draws you in so completely to this.

The documentary style gives the story a tangible urgency, and the subtle commentary on media manipulation enhances the depth of the story while never stifling the core content.

It's slow moving in the middle but that didn't lessen the narrative thrust. In fact, it probably set up the last turning points even harder.

If you liked A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, there's plenty for you here. Full of tension, secrets, and surprises, this book only solidifies Holly Jackson's power as a Thriller Queen.
