Nobody told me where the devil lived. I found him hidden in a human whom i believed.
The book “Lives not Lived” by Monika Bhatti centers around the life of two women, Naina and Haree. Despite living quite diverse lives having distinct stories, they had things in common that are pain and suffering.
It addresses the hard realities of life and the challenges that women encounter on a daily basis. The narrative brings to light societal issues such as rape, child abuse, domestic violence and child marriage. The story doesn't only tell us the problems but discusses the psychological strain that women experience and how society reacts to it. Each and every character, including friends, neighbors, coworkers and family members has a part to perform.
Particular recognition and gratitude are due to the author for the manner she had highlighted the problems and incorporated in the form of a story.
    Highly recommended!
